Each Original balance board is made in California. The top deck is bamboo, one of the world's most abundant and renewable resources, and is milled locally. The base is .25” thick, military-grade aluminum for increased strength and is cast using a "Green Sand Process," generating zero waste—we recycle the sand molds and place excess aluminum back into the supply chain. We use a powder-coat finish with near-zero emissions, and complete final etching in Santa Barbara.

Which deck is right for me?
All of our decks are designed to add the same subtle motion to your day. While the functional geometry remains consistent between models, you can choose from a range of materials and manufacturing processes.
• The Original has a bamboo top deck and a base of .250" thick, military-grade aluminum that is sand-cast by hand in a selection of five colors. This is our toughest, sturdiest deck.
• The Level® offers three top-deck options: maple, maple with a walnut finish, or bamboo. All wood options come atop a .190" die-cast aluminum base.
• The Plane line starts with a base made from recycled #2 plastic. On the Plane Cloud, the top deck consists of soft antimicrobial foam for added cushion. Recommended weight: up to 250lbs. -
Is it worth it?
