Balance Board for Standing Desk

This exclusive deck is the result of a collaboration between FluidStance in Santa Barbara, CA and Olimunllum LLC in Switzerland. The combined craftsmanship begins with the patented design of the FluidStance “skeleton” base, made of military-grade aluminum and powder-coated in a rich, matte black.

Olimunllum is a material used in high-performance scenarios, from aviation and defense to sailing and motorsports. Tougher than Titanium, two layers of it surround a wooden core for this unique top deck.  A consolidated carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic, Olimunllum can be processed like metallic materials, but can bend and form into 3D shapes. It's extremely lightweight—½ the weight of Aluminum, ⅓ of Titanium, and ⅕ the weight of Steel—highly resilient, and wear-, germ-, corrosion-, and fatigue-resistant.  The Limited Edition deck will outlast anything else you own. Dare we say it will even outlast you?

Only one made.

The Science Behind The Balance Board

Your body isn’t made to sit in a chair for 8 hours a day, and you know it. (That’s why you’re investigating balance boards for standing desks. Right?)

Standing to work is better than sitting… but it can still leave you with posture problems, an aching lower back, and stiff knees and ankles.

That’s why we created FluidStance. We’ve built “omnidirectional” balance boards that let you tilt from side to side, front to back with 360-degree freedom. There’s just enough wobble to keep you burning calories — but not so much that it’s distracting.

If you want to stand more, choose the only balance boards backed by research from the Mayo Clinic. Your knees, back, and boss will thank you.

Sustainably Made in the U.S.A. & Ridiculously Durable

The Level isn’t just a work aid — it’s sleek, modern furniture. It’s a natural evolution of your work environment… and maybe your couch environment, too. ;)

Every Level balance board is made right here in the U.S.A. We create the base from die-cast, military-grade aluminum (recycling any scrap metal back into the supply chain). Then, we add a powder-coat finish using a near-zero-emission method. The Level’s beautiful geometric base is topped with a half-inch of maple or bamboo — your choice.

          What People Are Saying

          • Which deck is right for me?

All of our decks are designed to add the same subtle motion to your day. While the functional geometry remains consistent between models, you can choose from a range of materials and manufacturing processes.

              • The Original has a bamboo top deck and a base of .250" thick, military-grade aluminum that is sand-cast by hand in a selection of five colors. This is our toughest, sturdiest deck.

              • The Level® offers three top-deck options: maple, maple with a walnut finish, or bamboo. All wood options come atop a .190" die-cast aluminum base.

              • The Plane line starts with a base made from recycled #2 plastic. On the Plane Cloud, the top deck consists of soft antimicrobial foam for added cushion. Recommended weight: up to 250lbs.

          • Is it worth it?

Well, you tell us. How much would it be worth to actually enjoy the hours you spend at your desk? To skip your next chiropractor visit? To feel better in your body every day? Only you can put a price on that.

(But in case it helps to know, over the course of one year, the Original breaks down to about $1.33 a day, while the Level works out to between $5-7 a week, depending on model selected. And it costs nearly $700 less than the top-rated Herman Miller Aeron chair. The Plane Cloud works out to $14.52/month for about a year. Think of it like a Netflix subscription for happiness.)

          • What if I decide it’s not for me?

If you end up feeling like your FluidStance deck isn’t the right choice for you, just return it within 60 days of receiving your order! We’ll refund 100% of your purchase price. That’s our 60-Day Risk-Free Guarantee.

Try the Level 100% Risk-Free for 30 Days

Take 30 days from the date you receive your FluidStance deck to test it out and make sure it’s right for you. If it’s not, send it back for a full refund. (Though we’re pretty sure you’re going to love it.)
