Primary use is to engage full range of motion at the ankle engaging all the elements in the muscle / ligament / tendon structure to rehab an asymmetrical left leg weakness / balance.Only had it for a week or so, but I set my alarm every couple hours if I am not active and “actively“ use it for 5 minutes. So far so good - got comfortable fairly quickly in using the full range of motion side to side and forward / backward. Just look straight ahead and not down !
I really appreciate having the mat to keep the floor intact. However, the texture of the mat makes the board experience feel more slippery. Would love for you to use a different material for the mat.
This is great for protecting the floor from the fluid stance, it would be better if it had a bowl or socket so the fluid stance could sit in it and not slip away from the desk.

This works amazingly and doesn’t move at all during use.
I had the balance board for awhile before i purchased this. Having this handy just opens up the chance to use the board anywhere I want without worrying about my floor, or my outside deck.

It protects the carpet in a very old, historic public building. The Facilities Dept is sensitive to anything that can cause damage so this keeps me safe.

I noticed my wood floors creaking a little when moving on the board, even atop a rug. I bought the mat and no longer hear any creaking coming from the wood floor, since my weight is more dispersed. I am comforted to know that the wood floors are protected.
The BaseMat is the perfect solution for my carpeted home office. It protects the carpeting while providing a solid surface from my Level balance board. It also stores nicely in the Holster when I am not standing. I highly recommend the BaseMat and the rest of the FluidSpace line of products. -T

The problem I had with the Base Mat is that I had to move it every time I wanted to sit down because it's too small for my chair to rest on. The glass quality is nice, but I would rather have a wider area where I can both have my balance board when I want to use it or my chair when I want to use it. It’s been a godsend at my standing desk— package cost around £250 with the base (which I recommend too) but I’ve used it almost every day since I bought it and it’s still holding up well, feels like it’ll last a long time so worth the money
I have had a stand up desk for several years and have found that I get tired standing. At the end of the day my low back would be sore. Also tasks requiring lots of focus/analysis were harder standing than sitting. No more!! I have been pleasantly surprised with my Level. I would recommend this product.
Overall positive experience. I use this board every day (the instructions recommend shorter time of use but…) all day at work and it makes standing no longer a static experience. I no longer feel the temptation to stand on one leg or lean on one hip, it helps your posture too without trying. I’ve recommended this to several of my colleagues and they’re already ordering boards of their own. I did not find the plexiglass base mat helpful - it’s now in my garage with no takers. Maybe it would be helpful if the board were used in a room that had carpet? In any case, it doesn’t take up room in the garage in case it’s ever needed.
I *love* my base mat, and it should be a required accessory if you've got wood floors! I actually had my board for quite a while, but had stopped using it because it was slowly chewing up my floor at home (and my damage deposit with it), and I couldn't find anything of a decent size and durability to put under it that my cats wouldn't mess with. This thing ticks all the boxes and I'm back to 6 or so hours a day on my balance board and loving every second.
The base mat is a great support for the board. It looks great, and completely prevents carpet from getting matted. However, it tends to move around slowly over the course of a day. I'm frequently having to move it back in place. Maybe a future design could have a few more rubber feet on the underside to hold it in place?
My Fluid Stance has been awesome. I have a standing desk but always found myself sitting. Now I'm up for a lot more of the day and it's just fun to balance or spin...I like making a bit of a game out of standing. The cushioning on top is also really helpful and much nicer than standing on the hardwood floor.

The base mat is a great companion to my Fluidstance. I'm glad I got it, as it protects the flooring and gives a smooth surface for my desk surfing!
During the first week of use, my base mat lost 2 of the 6 knobs/feet that are attached to the bottom. Seems like they should stay attached a bit longer than 1 week.
So, I’ve been using my standing desk for about a year now and my calves and arches were always sore at the end of the day. Using my FluidStance board gives my the added flexibility of little movements throughout the day. I’ve recommended FluidStance to several other coworkers and tried to get our buyers to get the products on our site.
