Domestic Shipping

We are now offering FREE standard US shipping for a limited time. Domestic orders will ship next business day. FedEx Ground shipping takes 3-5 business days for delivery. We also offer FedEx 2-Day Shipping and FedEx Standard Overnight Shipping for domestic orders. Orders to Hawaii and Alaska ship via USPS.

International Shipping

International orders will ship next business day, with the option to ship via FedEx or USPS for most countries. International shipping can take up to 2-3 weeks for delivery. We are unfortunately not able to guarantee arrival dates or provide expedited shipping for international orders. Please note that the international shipping fee does not cover any customs or import duties; your package may be held at your local post office for payment of charges.

Do I need a standing desk to use a Level?

The Level was designed with standing desks in mind, but you can take advantage of its benefits at nearly any workstation.

How much height does a Level add?

The Level adds roughly 2.5 to 3 inches of height. We recommend using an adjustable desk to account for the added height. Adding raisers can also be a great way to keep your workstation at an ergonomically optimal height.

What are the dimensions of the Level?

The Level measures 26.5" long x 12.2" wide x 2.5" tall, and weighs approximately 7 lbs, 12 oz.

How do the various models of the Level differ?

All of our Levels are designed to add the same subtle motion to your workday. While the functional geometry remains consistent between models, the range in pricing options is a result of variations between materials and manufacturing processes. The Original Handmade Level has a bamboo top deck and a base of sand-cast, military-grade aluminum; the Level Grain, offered in either maple or bamboo, has a base of die-cast aluminum. We've tested the Original Handmade to hold up to 300 lbs, and the Grain for up to 250 lbs.

Does the Level work on carpet?

The Level does work on carpet. We recommend using one of our base mats or a small chair mat to provide a firmer surface to optimize your flow.

Will the Level damage my hardwood floors?

The Level works on most floors, including carpet, wood, tile, and concrete surfaces. We do recommend that a protective mat or surface be placed in between the Level and your floor to protect the floor from the constant motion of the Level (not unlike what you'd see from a rolling chair in a similar work area). Our Lo-Pro and Upcycled Resin Base Mats are available on our website.

Can I stand on my Level all day?

It's important to find the balance between building strength in those small, newly activated muscles and mitigating the healthy fatigue your body feels when it does something new.

If you are new to your standing workstation, we recommend beginning with a 70:20:10 breakdown (continuing to spend 70% of your day sitting, standing on your Level for 20% of the day, and taking the remaining 10% to engage in real-life movement) and progressing toward an even balance between sitting and standing.

For those of you who are already accustomed to standing as you work, just integrate the Level into your usual standing routine to begin benefiting from the flow.

Can I demo the Level before I decide to purchase one?

If you’re interested in getting your company or school on board, email us at flow@fluidstance.com to arrange for a demo. We are unfortunately not able to send demo Levels to individual customers at this point; however, we welcome visitors to our Santa Barbara office.

How do I purchase a Level?

You can get your own Level and accessories at our online shop. Once you select your product and add it to the cart, navigate to the top right corner of our website to access your shopping cart and complete your purchase.

Can I use more than one card to pay at checkout?

At the moment, our online checkout only supports payment from a single credit card. Our customer service team would be happy to assist you with alternate payment options.

When will I get my Level?

We are committed to sourcing our products sustainably, so our inventory of certain products may ebb and flow. The most updated estimate of when your Level will ship can be found on the product page of whichever model you’re considering.

Once your Level has shipped, we will provide you with a tracking number to let you know exactly where it is on its journey to you. We do our best to get your Level under your feet as soon as possible.

What is your return policy?

We stand behind (and on top of) everything we make with a lifetime guarantee.

If your Level® or any FluidStance® accessory has a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace the defective part at no additional cost to you for the lifetime of the product.

If your Level requires repair due to normal wear and tear, we will do the repairs—including wood resurfacing, base painting, or bumper replacement—at a minimal cost to you (estimated on a case by base basis).

We understand that you need to step on a Level to get a sense of how it feels and flows. If you decide that the Level simply isn’t for you, we ask that you return it, along with any FluidStance accessories, to us in the original packaging in like-new condition.

Once your return arrives, we will issue you a refund of the cost of your items and any sales tax. If the Level shows signs of wear and tear, we will deduct $40 from the refund to recondition it. Because we are unable to recondition FluidStance accessories, we unfortunately cannot accept returned accessories that display wear and tear. We welcome all exchanges of products in like-new condition.

FluidStance reserves the right to determine what constitutes a manufacturing defect or wear and tear, but we believe in building a culture of mutual trust and respect—we’ve got your back.
