Troubleshooting Your Fillup
No, we do NOT recommend that you place any of the pieces of your Fillup or the cups in the dishwasher. Dishwashers have varying heat settings that could alter the components of the Fillup if they are not monitored. The Fillup ceramic cups have a unique matte finish that do not accept the extreme heat of the dishwasher. We recommend that you hand wash both the ceramic cups and all the components of your Fillup to maintain optimal performance and appearance.
Do NOT put carbonated liquids in your Fillup. As with all double-walled vacuum-sealed products, the pressure of the carbonation will build up in the tank, so when you open the valve to fill your cup, the built-up pressure will cause what's in your Fillup to forcefully shoot out of the valve. We do however recommend that you use your FIllup for water, cold brew coffee, even non-carbonated cocktails (margaritas are a FluidStance office favorite), or wine.
After you have had liquid in your Fillup, please make sure that you completely turn the Fillup upside down before you begin untwisting the cap to open. There is a chance that some of the liquid that you had in the Fillup was captured in the interior ridges of the cap. This happens by the nature of gravity forcing the liquid down as far as it will go in the Fillup reservoir. Please make sure that after you add liquid to your Fillup tank and are closing the cap, that the cap is as tight as possible before flipping the tank over into the upright position to place in the stand.
There is a handy fill line in the interior of the Fillup tank indicating the maximum amount of liquid to put in the Fillup tank.
There are two indicator lines on the bottom edge of the Fillup tank; align the handle section on the cap between these.
The interior of the Fillup tank is stainless steel. There is no coating on the interior of the tank walls; the inside of the tank is completely liquid/food safe.
