I ordered 2 of these lamps about a year and a half ago and they sat in the box until I finally to move my desk to mount them. And WOW once I had them intalled and my desk back to where it belong and turned them on, I was very pleased. I don't even have to turn on the room light, these 2 lamps put off enough light for me to work. Didn't like that I had to use 2 remotes to work them, but I called support and they gave me instructions on how to pair one remote for both and BOOYAA, I now only have to use one remote. Looking at redesigning my desk, but w/ 3 lamps. Thank you Fluidstance!!!
Lighting at my home office desk has been really poor since I set it up. I realized that my eye fatigue was tied to the lack of good light on my workspace, so I decided to do something about it. Yesterday, I received by Illum Desk Lamp. Really can't say enough good things about this product. It is very well designed and constructed and provides just the right amount of light in three different color temperatures and adjustable brightness—running from warm and soft to hot and bright—giving me just what is needed at any time, depending on the current ambient light in the room and what I am trying to accomplish at the desk. One of the great things about this lamp is the sturdy gooseneck section. When setting this lamp up on my desk, I quickly realized that I wasn't going to be able to clamp the mount at the exact center of the monitor riser shelf, as my monitor stand necessarily butts up against the wall. So I had to offset the clamp about 5 inches to the right of the monitor stand. The gooseneck allowed me to bend the horizontal lamps back towards center, and directly over the middle of my monitor. Perfect! I'm really glad I purchased this lamp.
Love my new Illum Desk Lamp.Prior to this I was having to use my ceiling can lights (with no dimmer) which was overkill. The Illum's brightness and temperature controls, via the in-line switch or, better yet, it's remote, work perfectly.Highly recommend this for any still sitting on the fence 😎
I bought my Illume on sale scratch and sent it and was still impressed by the quality. From the packaging to the fully assembled light I am completely satisfied.
I can't even begin to describe how amazing this desk lamp is. First of all, setup is easy and done in a breeze. The lamp fully lights up my working space and I love that you can rotate the two light bars towards you, so you are fully lit when on conference calls. The light bar on the back of the lamp is also a really cool feature. The remote is easy to use and the lamp features different light temperatures, although I mostly use the warm temp setting. All in all, a fantastic product that I recommend to family and friends!

I work out two offices. I wanted it for one of my offices, but it was too tall and wide, but it works well for one of my two offices and I love it. I wish you made a second model that was about 6 inches shorter and six inches less wide and that would be perfect for my other office as I love this light a lot.
I don't have a desk that the light will attach to. I bought the Raise Monitor Stand but was concerned that it might not work. A quick email with the question brought my answer! The light will safely attach to the Raise Monitor Stand (I knew it WOULD, just wasn't sure if it would be stable enough - I know, what was I thinking! This IS Fluidstance!). I love the ability to control the type of light (ie warm or cool) as well as how bright it is. I'm tempted to get one to attach to a table in another room! Many options! I debated too long! Just get the light!
I love this light! Such a beautiful design, dynamic design. I love being able to adjust the brightness and warmth, and readjust the light direction. I generally prefer indirect, dim light, but it is also great that I can adjust the light for video calls.
As you can tell from the photo, I really like your products! In the picture you can see the black Illum I have over my computer and the white Illum that we just set up this morning for my counselor (we share an office). The lights are beyond awesome. We both had do a zoom today, and the ability to adjust the lighting...it is a game changer! Adjusting it during the day helps your eyes and staves off headaches...and we can keep the overhead lights off. You hit this one out of the ballpark.
I just received my lights (3) yesterday. It looks great, it's easy to install and the adjustable lighting is fantastic. Gives my work space a very modern look and feel. I bought one for my girlfriend and my sister also. I also bought the Lift also which is in the picture. Love that also. Gets the laptop off the desk and gives me note space. I bought the Slope for home but just took up too much room on my desk. I have one at work which works great.Great products overall. Highly recommend them.
In our office, we keep the overhead lights off and use lamps...this light is absolutely perfect. So perfect that I am ordering one for the counselor that shares my office! The adjustable light settings are so helpful when you feel eyestrain and during zoom meetings. It is functional and great looking too! I am already thinking these will make great Christmas presents!
I bought this for my husband for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! It is solid and sturdy. Unfortunately, his desk does not have a deep enough lip to clamp it on. We are going to try to buy The Raise riser as a solution and something to clamp the lamp to. Hopefully, it works.
when I saw the design of the Illum, I thought this is exactly what I needed. The ambient base light, the overhead lights... But in actual use, the lamp totally washes me out for zoom calls. The light quality just doesn't seem that great, and the width of the overhead lights flattens everything in an unappealing way.

The design is great, with the ambient light from the base and the two rotating lights up top. The quality of light is another story. It isnt nearly diffused enough, so it washes out my face and creates hotspots no matter how low I turn it down. Considering returning it but it was a 'last chance' deal so I'm not sure I'll be able to.
The lamp is perfect in respect to size.I have 2 side by side monitors on my desk and this lamp covers for both sides.Originally I was concerned that I would have to put 2 separate lights on the desk which would require 2 remotes 2 mounting brackets and so on but this lamp is perfect.Not crazy about the remote but it does what it’s described to do.I would highly recommend this light which covers a nice amount of the desk.Thank you
I have tried multiple solutions for my desk. I wanted to maintain a minimal, clean setup. This light does everything I need - light projection behind the monitor on the wall, lighting for video conferences, task lighting, and a light bar for my monitor ... and it is clean an minimal. I had some experience with Fluidstance products before and am always impressed with the form, function and design. When I was looking at their desk lamp, my first thought was gosh, that is expensive for what I could probably get on a popular online retailer for a fraction of the cost. I threw caution to the wind and purchased one. Until I got it set up and fired up, I had no idea how much of a positive change this makes in my work environment- especially making it through the dark PWN winters. I work from home and at my desk for more than 10 hours/day. This truly is a game changer. If this light isn't running my world is simply not complete. When I am on video calls, it bring the perfect amount of brightness and warmth to even the most intense calls. It lights up the entire space so beautifully and actually eases eye strain because the whole area is backlit and the screen doesn't pop out. The quality is amazing, the design is simply elegant, and the remote is super easy to use and understand. I bought a second one for my other office and tell anyone who will listen about this hidden gem. Totally worth the higher price point!
The set up was seamless and I love the capabilities of the desk lamp! I enjoy how I can dim the office overhead lights, but I can illuminate my desk space.

What an interesting lamp! I am not a fan of the clamp though. I have the branch desk with a centered power hub. The clamp seems to be bigger than the applicable surface area. It would be nice if the made a smaller clamp. With less depth. Also I don't care for the visibility of the clamp. It would be nice if it had a cover over it. One thing I'd like to see in the future is modularity. I'd like to see them stick one stick to the base for accent lighting. Also a screw in desk mount for the remote.

Loved loved loved this lamp - didn't end up keeping it because it was too big for our space, but the quality was exceptional. Customer service was also amazing! 10/10 all around

This lamp is utterly superb and would receive 5 stars except for two things.First, one of the horizontal lights does not fit flush with the articulating arm. This does not affect use in any way though.Second, I have this lamp plugged into a smart socket so I can control the light with my smart home. While I can easily turn the smart socket, and hence the light off, when I turn the smart socket back on, the light does not come back on with it, I need to use the light switch itself every time to turn the light on.
I bought a $60 desk lamp from Amazon and it didn’t last a year. Looking for another one came up short and all made in China. So Googled and found this one. Very happy with it.

These desk lamps make a great gift. I purchased one for my son and my brother and they both loved them. They are so useful and with the adjusting light support your eyes during a long day at the office!
Often I work long hours, and being able to adjust the light intensity and light helps me from getting headaches or blurred vision. The Illum is so long it spreads out the light…so far I have purchased three!
Not only was the experience with the company great (quick shipping, carbon neutral values, good communication, video showing assembly, etc.), this product is GREAT. Really pretty perfect overall-very thoughtfully designed and well-made which is really noticeable nowadays. I love the feature set this light offers including adjustable warmth and brightness and most of all, that the lights can aim any direction. That was my main criteria and this does it perfectly. Debating getting another one but will use it for a while first to see how much more light is needed. Great work, Fluidstance!!
